Tomorrowland Belgium 2008, Sunday.

Tomorrowland 2008 – Yesterday is History, Today is a Gift, Tomorrow is Mystery. Perhaps Yesterday was Hot, Today is Hotter and Tomorrow it’s raining would have been better. My god it was incredibly hot on Sunday. Glad I brought some SPF30 sunscreen, I would have been burnt to a crisp I’m afraid. I would say it was too hot too dance, people were chilling out mostly until the sun set, then the party really stared, mostly at the mainstage.

A big thanks goes out to ID&T Belgium and Heineken who let me in their heli for some areal views. Boy I love flying!

Hot, hot, hot

Hot, hot, hot

And into the night things stayed dry, barely. Can’t believe the thunderstorm we drove through on the way back home. It was like being in a Hollywood movie: som much lightning it was almost fake…

Tomorrowland Belgium 2008, Saturday.

Yes, yes, yes it’s party-season time so my log is stuffed with event images for a while. This weekend was ID&T’s Tomorrowland in Belgium, based on the very succesful Dutch Mysteryland series. De Schorre, a recreational area, just seems to be made for this sort of thing: lot’s of water, hills and plenty of green to give it a good atmosphere.

Saturday started out with a somwewhat smaller area (funny thing: in Holland Saturday would be the busiest day I guess) but it was just nicely packed and I just really enjoyed the feeling. I guess Belgium people are just a bit more relaxed and don’t pull on you arms all the time shouting “photo, photo!”. And, if for some reason, somebody does ask for a picture to be taken (politely ofcourse), it’s most often good-looking peeps. I like that!

12 Pages full of surfing in the Fancy.

My first publication in the popular girls magazine Fancy is a big one. Twelve pages full of surfinfo with babes, boys, techstuff en beachwear. A great pleasure to photograph of course en cool to see it so quickly in publication. The images were shot just a month ago at the end of a five-week travel extravaganza, rember this post?

The magazine just hit the shelves yesterday and just pretend it’s for your girlfriend! ;-)

Sensation Black 2008

One of the best Sensation Black editions so far! Wild music, good crowd and again an insane show with perfect lighting. I got soaked, I almost broke my chest and I will be deaf for another few days even while wearing custom made ear-protection. This was one good party to photograph! Again, wallpapers later this week.

Sensation White in 360 Panorama [updated]

Hooray, my 50th post since my new website went online this January! And a special one as well: a 360 degree panorama (Quicktime VR or QTVR) taken from the centre of the stage. Because of all the shows with water (you can see the reflection on the black catwalk) I was only able to do it very late at night when they had a non-water bit which was long enough for me to take the necessary images (a lot). The light coming through the roof spoils it a little bit but it still gives you a nice idea.

Amazing Journeys in 2Magazine

A very nice openingsspread in an article on Amazing Journeys in 2Magazine. Image taken at the crater rim of Washington State’s (USA) Mt.St.Helens. See more of this amazing hike at this older post.
