As I just got the go ahead yesterday for a new trip to Oman in April, one of my favorite countries to photograph I though it fitting to finally upload this image. As a billboard, up to 13×7 meters (39×21 ft.), has been running on and off in the Netherlands for quite some time now and it feels amazing to see it along the highway in this incredible huge size.

Fresh from the press: a new article on Fly&Drives in Northern Thailand in the november issue of ANWB REIZEN Magazine:
I’m very happy with the new Duikamagzine (Dive Magazine) that just came out, a four page article on one of my favorite subjects of 2008: the Turtle beach at Ras al Jinz (check here for an earlier article on this website in English ).
Now in stores all over Holland, the new Snowboard Magazine. Keep an eye open on this site for more new wintersports photo’s and articles from this issue.
Eleven pages from one of the nicest islands I have been to: the spectacularly beautiful Gran Canaria. For some reason 99% of the tourists stay in the horrible concrete and beach misery of the Playa del Inglés and other soutside resorts while the rest of the island is a heaven of beauty and peace.
For the largest travel Magazine in the Netherlands, ANWB REIZEN, we did a report on six of the many fantastic nature walks that you can do. Keep an eye open on my website for a Favorite Views, coming later this year from Gran Canaria.

My first publication in the popular girls magazine Fancy is a big one. Twelve pages full of surfinfo with babes, boys, techstuff en beachwear. A great pleasure to photograph of course en cool to see it so quickly in publication. The images were shot just a month ago at the end of a five-week travel extravaganza, rember this post?
The magazine just hit the shelves yesterday and just pretend it’s for your girlfriend!

My first REIZEN Magazine cover [June issue, Turkey]!
REIZEN is the largest monthly travel magazine in the Netherlands.
For the largest Dutch travel monthly: ANWB REIZEN Magazine, May 2008 issue, I did a full report on the Black Sea coast at the end of the summer of 2007. Focus of the article was the “Betonpolitie” or “Concrete Police”: a series of articles that asks the question if there is too much building going on at certain destinations that were renowned for their untouched beauty. In this case the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. As it turns out, a lot of the coastal line has been heavily overdeveloped but I still managed to find a few relatively untouched places along the way. Not an easy article to make as I was travelling alone and I manage to do about 1600 kilometres in one week to find all the good bits.
