My most viewed photo of 2009 has got to be this Armin van Buuren wallpaper with a steady 10.000 photoviews since I posted it in early March. So, here it is in laptop wallpaper format now as well (16:9 that is) plus a few other ones of the world’s number one DJ. Enjoy!
Tomorrowland 2009 Widescreen Wallpapers (1600×1000 pixels): lot’s of lasers and fireworks and one of the craziest Mainstages I have ever seen!
Also three up-close DJ Wallpapers: David Guetta, Derrick May and Paul van Dyk.
Just a small set (43 images) of my favorite photo’s from Sundays’ Tomorrowland 2009 edition. As won’t be having a lot of time the next few days it might take me a bit longer to upload a full gallery. So, until then: enjoy these shots and wait for more to come.
Tomorrowland Wallpapers will be ready before the weekend.
[UPDATE] A large gallery of Saturday images here. [UPDATE II] And a full set of Sundays images here.

Oh boy what a day: getting up at 04:00 to catch a cab to the Austrian airport at Klagenfurt in order to get home in time for Trance Energy is not much fun. Doing a full nights gig after 5 hours of sleep (plus a massive nap in the late afternoon) is normally not my cup of tea but with an amazing stage, show and lights and most importantly: a very happy crowd, the night was over before I even had the feeling it begun. It’s nice to start a night with plenty of cool shots straight away and plenty of other nice ones all through the night. Trance Energy 2009 was really one of the nicest editions ever for photographers, soo much light one couldn’t go wrong!
Some more shots of todays action: the half-pipe contest which sadly turned out to be a bummer for Dolf van der Wal (missing the finals by 2/10 points on a disputable judging score). Some nice shots even though the waether was a bit bleak.
The nights Big Air practice turned out to be fun again while stressing the camera to the limits, using the high ISO range and two slave flashes. Happy with the results and ready for the contest the day after tomorrow.
Todays carving action wasn’t too succesfull for Nicolien either but fortunately I was able to do some decent freestyle shooting today. First some shots at the half-pipe (in between parallel slaom heats) and then some difficult shots with slave-flashes at the nightly big-jump practice session.
Tomorrow: half-pipe qualification and perhaps a couple more bigjump shots…
Sad, sad, sad… Saturday was the final whistle for the last major Bacardi event (once started as Batbeats, later went on as B-Live). In an absolutely soaring Paradiso things went wild with a DJ sets orchestrated by Mr. Wix. A packed house saw De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig, Le Le, Beesmunt Soundsystem, Daniel Haaksman and Scottie B and Wix himself. Un unbelieveable atmosphere, seriously one of the best editions and a great way to end this series after 4 years.
Serious highlights of the evening was the Marchingband Reflection (!) collaboration with de Jeugd van Tegenwoordig, the Le Le set and live artwork and ofcourse Mr. Wix himself with too many original tracks.
Guess that’s it for one of the nicest party series of the past few years. I’ll miss the big events but they will be replaced with smaller ones. Coming soon near you.
